Avinash Tripathi is one of the most versatile faces of Indian media who has carved a niche for him- self in the field of cinema and arts. Starting his career as a theatre actor-director with India's leading theatre group 28 years ago, he then became a news anchor, pro- ducer and director of a popular TV programme, Drishti for Doordarshan. He has also direct- ed the famous political talk show 'Do Took' broadcasted on ETV.

He has worked as the bureau chief of Aankho Dekhi, a pioneer program on crime reporting aired on Doordarshan news. Avinash has made a film on international terrorism namely AB BAS which was critically acclaimed by sever- al media houses/ film festivals of India. He has worked for different organizations and channels as a producer and executive producer like Doordarshan, ETV and Lash- kara channel.

Avinash has bagged more than 40 national and international awards for his outstanding contribution in the arts. He has the WOW award of Art & Culture Personality par excellence and Filmmaker on social issues and outstanding writer awards in different years. The prestigious Public Relations Society of India for his social films and columns on cinema awarded him.

He has worked with national and interna- tionally renowned directors like Jimmi lou Steabarge. He has compared more than 60 stage shows of different genres.

Personal Experiance

From international conferences to Gazal Night. His regular column 'Teesra Pahlu' has become very popu- lar among the youth. He is a member of several film organizations. He has taught film studies in Amity School of Communication, Amity University, and Rajasthan. In addition to his core area, he has also looked after media and public relations of Amity University, Rajasthan.
